Police in De Kalb County, Georgia have arrested one individual and are investigating a series of racial attacks at the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts, after vandals tied a noose around the neck of a bronze statue of slain rapper, Tupac Shakur.
According to police, the first incident occurred early Saturday morning (October 20), when vandals defaced the building and tied a noose around the neck of the statue of Shakur, which is located in the center's Peace Garden.
A second attack also occurred on the statue of Shakur, when vandals drew crosses and wrote rants about Hurricane Katrina and various record labels.
The attacks are being investigated as hate crimes by the De Kalb County Sheriff's Office and police are seeking additional suspects.

Michael Jackson (Poor Guy!) LoL!

Chalk up another "L" for Michael Jackson, as the singer collected another legal debt to pay.

According to the Associated Press, Jackson was ordered Monday (Oct. 15) to pay $175,000 in overdue attorney’s fees to Ayscough & Marar. The law firm sued the pop icon in February 2006 claiming he didn't pay for services it rendered on his behalf.

As a result of all of this, Jackson owes more than $430,000 to the firm. To date, Jackson hasn’t paid any of the money due, said Brent Ayscough, a partner at Ayscough and Marar.

As for whether the embattled music icon will eventually pay up, Jackson’s attorney simply told the AP, "You’d have to ask him that."

Until then, the court award will increase annually at a rate of 10 percent.

While I’ve been known to hold out on paying my debts, there’s a limit to how long we can go before our debt grows beyond our budget. Maybe Jacko can set up a We Are the World type of event or song to help a worthy cause...himself.

Imprisoned rapper Foxy Brown has been sentenced to 76 days in solitary confinement on Rikers Island over several infractions, including an altercation with another inmate.
Foxy Brown was removed from the general population of the prison and placed in a segregated cell, after she committed three violations this month in the jail.
On October 3, Foxy Brown and another female prisoner became involved in a shoving as they headed to a dining hall.
The following day, Brown, born Inga Marchand, was allegedly verbally abusive towards correction officers and she refused to submit to a random drug test.

Rapper T.I. pleaded not guilty to federal weapons charges including possession of machine guns but was denied bail for a second time.

T.I., born Clifford Harris Jr., appeared at the Richard B. Russell Federal Building and Courthouse in Atlanta this afternoon, after being arrested and jailed on October 13, for allegedly possessing unregistered machine guns and silencers, as well as being a convicted felon in possession of firearms.

Prosecutors also revealed that they found up to a half pound of marijuana in the rapper's vehicle, for personal consumption, when he was arrested on October 13.

U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman ordered the rapper jailed until at least next Friday, while he reviews a proposal by T.I.'s defense lawyer Ed Garland, who is attempting to free T.I. on $2.2 million dollar bond, which includes a cash deposit of $500,000 dollars.

Garland also offered millions of dollars in signature bonds from Atlantic Records, who put up a signed, $1 million bond, while several executives at Warner Music Group issued five $100,000 signature bonds for the rapper.

T.I. also provided two $100,000 signature bonds from a bonding company and he also put up properties that he owned valued at $1.5 million dollars.

Garland proposed putting a person in T.I.'s home to monitor him 24 hours a day and offered to provide a list of preapproved visitors who would be allowed to enter his home.

Additionally, the rapper offered to submit to random searches of his home and random drug screening.

Lawyers hope that cash bonds and volunteered monitoring will prove that T.I. is not a flight risk to US Magistrate Alan Baverman, who called the rapper's past criminal record "troublesome."

Baverman told defense attorneys that if T.I. was to be released, he would have to put up $2 million dollars in cash.

Prosecutors also revealed for the first time that the case is part of an ongoing investigation that may change the current indictment against T.I.

ATF agents arrested T.I. in midtown Atlanta on (October 13) as the rapper allegedly planned to pick up machine guns and silencers that his bodyguard was purchasing for him.

Various weapons were discovered during the arrest, including three allegedly found in T.I.'s vehicle at the time of his arrest and six more allegedly found in the bedroom closet at the 27-year-old rapper's home in Atlanta.

The rapper's arrest was the result of an investigation that began this month.

According a criminal complaint filed in US District Court in Atlanta, a federal firearms dealer contacted the ATF about a man inquiring about buying a machine gun without registering the weapon, as required.

The man, who turned out to be T.I.'s bodyguard, was later arrested after he attempted to purchase several machine guns from an undercover ATF agent.

As a result, the bodyguard cooperated with the government and admitted to buying the machine guns and silencers for T.I., who allegedly brokered the deals through the bodyguard because he is a convicted felon.

It is against federal law for a convicted felon to have another person purchase or acquire firearms on their behalf.

T.I. currently faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each count.

Denied Bail

Rapper T.I. appeared in the Federal Courthouse in Atlanta for the first time today at 3:00 PM on weapons charges and has been ordered held without bail.

T.I., born Clifford Harris Jr., had his hands cuffed and his legs chained as he entered the packed courtroom.

His lawyers unsuccessfully sought bail for the rapper, which was denied by U.S. Magistrate Judge Alan Baverman.

ATF agents arrested the rapper in an Atlanta shopping center after he allegedly attempted to illegally purchase machine guns through a bodyguard who was working for the government.

A subsequent raid of his house turned up numerous assault rifles and loaded handguns.

T.I. will appear in court on Friday (October 19), where Judge Baverman will determine whether there was probable cause for the rapper's arrest and to decide if he will be eligible for bail before his trial.

Do or Die's Belo doing a ten year stint!

Do or Die member Belo pleaded guilty to second degree murder for the shooting death of Raynard "B-Dog" Pinkston in November of 2002.

According to The Chicago Sun-Times, Belo, born Darnell Smith, will receive a 10-year sentence for the crime.

Prosecutors said Pinkston and Smith were watching two people fight, when Pinkston attempted to break up the ruckus.

Police said Smith warned Pinkston to stay out of the dispute and when he refused, Smith shot Pinkston to death on the street.

Smith's girlfriend Felicia Hamiton, was also charged in the case, after she attempted to bribe witnesses $1,000 in attempt to get them to change their testimony against Smith and keep him out of prison

Rapper Foxy Brown is at the center of more controversy according to prosecutors in New York.

According to correction officials, the 28-year-old rapper allegedly refused to get on a corrections bus three times on October 12 for a court appearance.

Officials said that Brown, born Inga Marchand, refused to leave Rikers Island to be arraigned in Brooklyn Supreme Court.

Reports stated that Brown missed the first bus because her hair and make up were not ready. She missed the second bus because she had not eaten lunch.

When a third bus came, Brown inexplicably refused to get on board.

As a result, Brown's court date has been moved to Tuesday (October 16).

The rapper is serving a one year prison sentence for violating the terms of her August, 2004 probation for assaulting two manicurists in a Manhattan nail salon.

In July, Brown was involved in a neighborhood dispute in Brooklyn with Arlene Raymond, 25, over the volume of the rapper's car stereo.

Brown allegedly hit Raymond in the face with her Blackberry, resulting in a charge of felony assault, misdemeanor assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

If Brown refuses to attend her arraignment on Tuesday, prosecutors may issue a court order allowing correction officers to handcuff her and force her to appear in court next week.

Prodigy is about to a multiyear bid in jail. Yeah, you know he had a case and a trial in New York City recently. I'm hearing P was found guilty and will start doing a 31/2 year bid.
